Salih

Having grown up on diet of Bruce Lee and David Carradine martial arts movies I was always interested in martial arts but never considered undertaking any training until my son decided he'd like to have a go. I therefore made the decision not to be a chauffeur to my son but to get involved (and get into shape at the same time!). So in January 2004, we started looking for martial arts clubs and came across Enfield Choi Kwang Do. Mr Manish Tailor's enthusiasm for the art was enough to get us to the introductory lesson. One of the first things that struck me was how quickly we learnt what we did, within a few lessons we had learnt how to block, kick, punch and reproduce the white belt pattern and before long we were grading for our first belt!

The regular gradings provide added incentive and purpose to the training and progress can be rapid because Choi Kwang Do is easy to learn, straightforward to implement and highly effective. However, as with all martial arts, to become truly proficient takes time and practise and if you are prepared to put in the effort the rewards will follow. I am now an Assistant Instructor and a few steps away from my Black Belt and very much looking forward to becoming a Chief Instructor.
