Profile - The Instructor: Mr Manish Tailor ,II Degree Black Belt, Chief Instructor Enfield Choi Kwang Do

In July 1994 I was involved in a road rage incident, which if I had not had the presence of mind to stay in my car could have been more serious.
It was because of this I knew I had to do something to not only protect myself, but also to regain my confidence.
I did Shotokan Karate when I was younger, but the regimental regime and contorted body movements wasn't for me. I needed something that was quick and easy to learn as well as being practical and effective.
My father had mentioned to me sometime before the incident of a Martial Art which used 'Biomechanics', I felt intrigued and located a local class. At the end of my first class, in October 1994, I joined Choi Kwang Do.
It was only after my first grading I decided that I was 'hooked', and trained up to six classes a week. Within six months I became an Assistant Instructor and a total of 20 months from when I first began training, I obtained my black belt (June 1996).I also became Chief Instructor in August 1996, finally in September 1999 I became an Assistant Examiner.
As you can read there was only one real reason why I begun training in Choi Kwang Do, but I was amazed as to all the other ways ive benefited such as greater self confidence and self esteem, better health, fitness and less stress in every day life.
It was because of these benefits that I decided to teach Choi Kwang Do and will continue to teach and train Choi Kwang Do.
